A Brandy Station Foundation Holiday Open House

A Brandy Station Foundation Holiday Open House was held at the Graffiti House, 19484 Brandy Road, Brandy Station on December 9, 2023. The open house featured the dulcimer holiday music of the Wilderness Run Players and refreshments. Free with all welcome! The Graffiti House is a two-story frame structure built in 1858. Civil War soldiers at the Graffiti House wrote their names and messages on the walls using charcoal from the fires that kept them warm. The walls of the house contain inscriptions, drawings, messages, and signatures of both Union and Confederate soldiers, hence the name “Graffiti House.”
